It all started in 1972 when our founder Cathaleen was a young woman in
Anchorage Alaska. At that time something big was going on, The Trans-Alaska
Pipeline. One day Cathaleen was standing outside of the ARCO building in
anchorage Alaska and thought to herself that she would really like to be a
part of the Oil and Gas industry that had moved into anchorage. And as she
stood there she got a feeling that she would get there one day. But it never
happened in Alaska. After working with the superior court of the state of
Alaska Probate division and 2 years as a right-of-way agent for the city of
anchorage she met her husband Robert Pettigrew who was in the Air-force and
they moved to N. Dakota. There she began work as an Abstracter. When her
husband got out of the air force they moved to Houston, TX the city of Big
Oil, within 6 months she had a new job at Crown Central Petroleum as a
Division Order analyst. It seems as though her dream of working in the Oil
and Gas Industry had come true.
After Many years of loyal service to companies such as Mitchell Energy,
Union Texas Petroleum and Exxon company USA. Cathaleen had built a
reputation and knowledge as a Land Professional. In 1994 she left the Exxon
Company USA as an Independent contractor and teamed up with a business man
named Luigi Ballatori who owned a small software company called LandPro. Between the Years of 1994 thru the present she has been assisting with the
development and support of the LandPro Land Management System as well as
continuing to serve the Oil and Gas Industry in various land administrative
capacities.
Fast forward to 2000, when our Company began in the home of Robert and
Cathaleen Pettigrew when Cathaleen decided to put her husband to work. The
two of them had an idea, To offer Outsourcing services to small independent
exploration companies and to become “Your Land Administration Department”. After plenty of brainstorming and a combination of 34 years in the Oil and
Gas industry. Pettigrew & Pettigrew Land Services was born.
After going from 2 to a whole staff of Land administration professionals
Pettigrew & Pettigrew Land Services has been the Land Department for over 25
different Oil & Gas Exploration companies and several mineral owners. We
continue to strive to the highest level of Excellence, Integrity,
